Ron Reed Named MVP of Skyline Tournament
St. Joseph's Second Baseman Has Stellar Series

Patchogue, NYSt. Joseph's College second baseman Ron Reed has been voted the 2004 Skyline Baseball Championship Tournament MVP. The Golden Eagle junior was the catalyst that helped SJC win the Skyline title. In the first game of the tournament against Mt. St. Mary, Reed hit a two-run double to give SJC all the runs they would need in a 2-1 victory. In the second game against Centenary, he broke a 1-1 tie with a bases loaded triple to spur the SJC offense to a 10-5 win.

Defensively in the Skyline Tournament, Reed had 24 chances at second base that resulted in 12 putouts, 12 assists and no errors. He also was involved in turning four double plays, three of which came in the Golden Eagles 9-3 championship win over Centenary.
