Josephs students are exposed to different ways of thinking and different
ways that people experience the world. Were planting seeds that one
hopes will come to fruition in the future. This interdisciplinary major draws on economics, political science and sociologyanthropology to offer students a broad understanding of human relationships from a crosscultural perspective. Lectures and seminars are deepened through field experiences and research projects guided by experienced professionals. A special course offered in the fall prepares students to participate in the Harvard National Model United Nations Program. Field work in corporate, governmental and other organizations provides opportunities to gain real world experience. Courses to consider include American Presidency; Economic Geography; Political Transition in Eastern Europe; Sociology of the Paranormal; and War, Revolution, Terrorism. Careers to consider include advertising; international banking and business; counseling; criminal justice; finance; foreign service; government work; journalism; law; personnel; politics; public administration; public relations; law; social services; and university teaching. |
