Programs The 12credit certificate has three tracks: Design, Business and Programming. In the Design track, students gain the skills to work in the rapidly expanding field of Internet and multimedia applications. Students will be able to create and edit Internet web pages; corporate reports and brochures; advertising brochures; multimedia presentations; ecommerce applications; and training materials. In the Business track, students gain skills in using computer software and the Internet to meet business needs. Students will be able to identify business uses for the computer; search the Internet for business data; use spreadsheets for accounting and financial analysis applications; create Internet web pages; develop ecommerce applications; and use database management systems. In the Programming track, students gain skills to program in Visual Basic and C++ in order to meet personal and career goals. Students will be able to use Microsoft Office for business applications; create Internet web pages and ecommerce applications; develop macros by using Visual Basic; and design and use database management systems. |
