Scholarship Deadlines
For scholarship consideration, please note the following deadlines:

Freshmen:
For scholarship consideration, the College requires that all forms (admissions application, high school records, SAT results) be received by the Admissions Office on or before March 15 for Fall entering students and January 1 for Spring entering students.

Transfers:
For scholarship consideration, the College requires that all forms (admissions applications, transcripts) be received on or before August 1 for Fall entering students and January 1 for Spring entering students [see also Transfer Students].

Freshman Admissions Requirements

Paperwork to Submit
Submit the following through your college advisor:

  1. An application form and $25 fee or fee waiver
  2. Your official high school transcript
  3. An official copy of your Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) results

You are not required to submit a high school transcript if you have an A. A. degree or have successfully completed 40 or more credits from an accredited college. You may transfer a maximum of 64 credits if you have an A. A. degree; certain A. A. S. degrees are also transferable.

Required High School Subjects
General requirements for admissions:

  1. four years each of English and social studies
  2. three years of mathematics
  3. two years of science
  4. two years of one language, or one year each of two languages

Credit will be given for additional work in history, science, mathematics, languages, and accredited courses in music, art, speech, and business subjects.

Early Admission
If you are a high school junior with high academic standing, above–average social maturity, parental approval and strong recommendations from high school guidance counselors, you may be eligible for early admission. You must take the SAT in the Fall of your junior year. Contact our Admissions Office for more information.

Institutional Code
The SJC institutional code is 2841.

International Student Admissions
If you are an international student, please submit your application and $25 fee at least six months before your expected date of matriculation. All foreign students are required to have a current visa. The College cannot provide housing.

You are also required to submit the following:

  1. official school credentials
  2. certificate of health
  3. TOEFL scores (minimum 550)
  4. SAT scores (minimum 980)
  5. affidavit signed by the person who will be responsible for payment of full tuition and fees in advance
