of Adult and Professional Education The B.S. in General Studies offers adults with non-traditional academic backgrounds, as well as those who have previous college coursework, an opportunity to attain a bachelor's degree through an individualized course of study. Many adults pursuing a career change appreciate the flexibility of this degree and continue on to pursue graduate programs. Personalized advisement is the key to this approach. With the assistance and guidance of a trained advisor, students design a program around their strengths, experiences, and aspirations, drawing from the various courses of the College. Of the 128 credits required for the degree, at least 60 must be in the liberal arts.
